THE SCHOOL:

There was no school in the village until 1935 and only on inspiration of Rehman Karim (Bana) to Hussein Rehmatullah Malek who was then in Darussalam in East Africa came to visit Dungra and recommended to have a school. The very first school was opened  in the house of Rasool better known as murgha Dosa. He used to wake up very early in the morning  when the cockerels crow. The very first teacher was Hussein Abdullah Munshi.

Before this date, boys used to go to near town Panjroly for their study purposes. After some time the school then shifted to the house of Mustafa Abbas until 1952.

Now the prathmic school is on the padar where it is now run by three teachers with about 70 students. As per the letter received from Al Nasser to day 27.1.2006, the school was first registered with the board on 1939.

THE MADRESSA..

At the early days Mohammad (balu bapu) told me that we had a Punjabi mullah who was very strict and once that mullah put him in Degh as a punishment. Then it was loban mullah. At that time the mosque was built only with four walls and a roof on it. Out side there was mullah’s hujara where children were taking deeni talim. For wuduh

Purpose and for other use there was a kuwali (WELL) but the water was very salty. This kuwali is no more in use. Now the madressa is rebuilt and it is now very well maintained with benches and chairs for the use of children.

MOSQUE.  The old mosque was demolished 20 years ago and refurbished with all required facility for brothers who are coming for prayers. There is also toilet and bathroom facility for the imam of the mosque. In 1983 the project of re building the mosque was given to Karim Rasool who with the help and support from Abdul Haque Mian of Simlak near Dhabel completed the project. Since then renovated from time to time according to circumstances. Financial help was provided by our well wishers. May Allah accept their giving for good cause, Ameen
